- Ginseng enhances components of life in both men and women. Ginseng added to vitamins improves a person's sense of vitality and well being, but like most potent substance ginseng should not be used indiscriminately. Ginseng is an excellent tonic herb for people with a predominant Earth nature in which it helps to energize the life force. It should be used cautiously if the Wind element is the liveliest principle in your mind body constitution, as the additional energy provided by ginseng may engender turbulence.
